Responsibilities 

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

  • Ford Certifications preferred
  • Dealership experience a plus
  • Strong automotive background
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
  • Must have clean & valid driver's license





Quick Lane Automotive Technician 


Stoneham Ford is looking for a motivated individual to join our Quick Lane. Basic automotive experience necessary. Salary commensurate with experience. Must have a good driving record. Great opportunities available to move up to a Full Service Technician. We will train.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including flushes, oil changes, etc.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first.
Qualifications
  • Communication skills – communicates effectively with others.
  • Time management – managing one’s own time and time of others.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an automotive technician (automotive mechanic) OR recent completion of automotive tech/trade school
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications a plus
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen

Automotive Body Shop Technician


Reading, MA

The technician repairs, refinishes damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date on the latest repair methods and techniques for the vehicles sold and serviced by the dealership
  • Perform all body and refinishing repairs according to estimate and supplement as necessary
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform welding, soldering, body alignment and oxidizing operations
  • Diagnose the cause of malfunction and perform needed repair
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Advise Body Shop Manager or Damage Appraiser if additional work is needed
  • Attend factory sponsored training classes and keeps abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Operate all equipment in Body Shop in a safe and productive manner
  • Maintain work area in an orderly and clean manner
  • Light painting, if deemed qualified and necessary by the Manager
  • Ensure customer’s cars are kept clean
  • Document all work performed as soon as the job is completed
  • Understands and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as the disposal of hazardous waste
  • Will secure permission from management and write up an RO before doing any work on personal vehicle

Qualifications

  • Strong automotive background
  • Must be dependable and reliable
  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Must have clean & valid driver's license
  • I-Car certifications a plus
  • Ford Aluminum certifications a plus

Stoneham Ford is currently seeking a Service Technician Assistant/ Apprentice for our busy service department. The qualified candidate will have Automotive Repair Experience/ Schooling. The selected individual will be working side by side with a Ford Certified Technician completing repairs on the Ford family of vehicles.

Candidate must have their own tools!

Hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. This is an hourly position. Stoneham Ford offers health insurance, 401k, vacation time, and provides uniforms.
